Lee & Sullivan shoot lights out at 9th World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament in Waterville
The 9th Staging of the World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament teed off in Waterville today with 32 teams from the US, Canada and Ireland. There were some spectacular scores with 2 under par leading the gross category.
The first day of the 9th Father & Daughter saw some low scores in tough conditions. Steve and Kaitlyn Lee from Westchester Country Club and Winged Foot Golf Club, who won the Winged Foot Father & Daughter earlier in the week, are leading the Gross division on 2 under par. Kaitlyn is 14 years old and plays off a 3 handicap. They are two ahead of Michael and Stephanie Sullivan from Garden City Golf Club and Garden City Country Club, who shot level par. Bill McGuinness from Pine Valley with his Daughter Mary who plays out of Tavistock Country Club lie in third on 4 over par.
James and Mary Layden from Bel Air CC are tied with Ray and Jenna Perdue from Crystal Tree Golf Club on 47 points. Gerard & Lauren Griesser from Applebrook GC lie third on 46 points.
