Opened in 2009 and designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, Quinta do Lago Laranjal Course brings a distinct inland style to golf in the Algarve. Set on land once used as an orange grove, the course still carries that identity, with a calmer, cultivated atmosphere than many coastal layouts nearby. Its parkland design is shaped by five lakes, rolling terrain and measured shot values rather than sheer spectacle.Â
At 6,480 yards and playing to a par of 72, Laranjal presents a balanced test that rewards placement and clear thinking across the round. The movement in the ground gives the holes variety, while the water features provide both structure and definition. As part of Quinta do Lago Resort, it sits naturally alongside the North and South courses, yet keeps its own character. For golfers seeking a composed, well-presented inland course, Laranjal offers a thoughtful change of pace in the Central Algarve.
