Hillside Golf Club sits in Southport on England’s Golf Coast, immediately alongside Royal Birkdale, yet it has a championship character entirely its own. Opened in 1911 and later remodelled by Fred Hawtree, the course is a par-72 links measuring 6,850 yards.
