Links Course Australia

Opened in 2015 and designed by Mike DeVries, Cape Wickham Links occupies a remote stretch of King Island where golf unfolds in full view of the Southern Ocean. The routing moves naturally across firm, rumpled terrain, with several holes set directly against the shoreline and others weaving through low dunes inland. A working lighthouse stands as a constant reference point, most memorably alongside the early stretch where the ocean is in immediate play.

At 6,150 yards, the course is not defined by length but by exposure, angles and the influence of wind, which dictates both strategy and shot shape. Fairways are generous in places yet subtly contoured, feeding balls towards natural hazards and sandy waste areas. The isolation of the setting, combined with a cohesive design, creates a focused golfing experience where each hole feels part of a continuous journey along this exposed coastline.
