Set beside the Forester River, Barnbougle Lost Farm is a modern links by Coore & Crenshaw, known for its varied routing and multiple green options, delivering a strategic and engaging test along Tasmania’s north coast.
Opened in 2010, Barnbougle Lost Farm is the second course at Barnbougle Golf, designed by Coore & Crenshaw to complement rather than replicate its neighbour. Set on undulating coastal terrain beside the Forester River, the layout moves in multiple directions, creating constant variation in wind exposure and shot demands.
The course is defined by its flexibility, with several holes offering alternate greens and routes, encouraging different strategies on repeat play. Fairways are generous but angles into greens are carefully protected by bunkering and natural contours. The design embraces the sandy soil and dune formations, producing firm running conditions that reward imagination and control. Lost Farm’s balance of width, movement and subtle complexity makes it an engaging counterpart to Barnbougle Dunes, offering a distinct but equally considered links experience on Tasmania’s north coast.
