Opened in 2025, The South Course gives Seven Mile Beach a fresh, highly playable links close to Hobart Airport. Designed by Mike Clayton and Mike DeVries, the par-72 course stretches to 7,021 yards / 6,420 metres across rolling Tasmanian coastal dunes.Â
The routing uses 37 bunkers, open sandy ground, and low-cut surrounds to create choices from the tee and around the greens. It is a course for imagination rather than force alone, with players able to use slopes, angles, and the firm ground to find the best line. Several holes move down to sea level, opening views towards Tiger Head Bay and Mount Wellington. The experience feels spacious, natural, and distinctly coastal, yet simple to include in a Hobart stay.
