Springtime golf delights in Southwest Ireland
12 guests | 4 rounds | 4 nights
Crisp air, gentle sunshine, blooming wildflowers, pristine conditions, and smaller crowds.
If you prefer a more intimate and relaxed golf travel experience, the Spring shoulder season is the perfect time for your adventure.
Ask our Norberg group.
In April, they journeyed to the cinematic Southwest for four of Ireland’s most beloved tee times.
Three of these sublime links host top-tier tournaments in 2026.
A luxury coach whisked our guests to their award-winning accommodations – overlooking the epic Atlantic – at Doonbeg Lodge.
Then it was straight to legendary Lahinch. This scenic showstopper will stage the much-anticipated 51st Walker Cup.
Round 2 was back at Doonbeg to play the glorious classic layout that welcomes the next Irish Open.
Their three-night stay at the Great Southern in charming Killarney included a perfect pairing.
First, the wild and wonderful Waterville.
Finally, tranquil, tantalising Tralee. Where, fittingly, you’ll see the 30th Arnold Palmer Cup.
Scottish adventures: East Lothian and Fife

Welcome to Scotland’s Golf Coast.
Just a putting green from elegant Edinburgh, East Lothian is 40 picturesque miles of pristine beaches, lush countryside, extraordinary attractions, and championship links.
That’s where our Corrigan party began their Scottish sojourn.
With its flawless turf, panoramic vistas, and rich history, Gullane No.1 delivered a blockbuster opener.
Then came a one-of-a-kind day at marvellous Murfield, the 16-time Open Championship host, that combined 36 holes with Scotland’s finest lunch menu.
North Berwick’s wondrous West Links closed the first leg of the trip.
Let’s see what happened in majestic Fife.
This cracking combination of classic and contemporary courses belongs on your next itinerary.
Our Corrigan golfers took on the rugged, age-old links at Carnoustie and Lundin before riveting rounds at two 21st-century masterpieces, Kingsbarns and Dumbarnie.
Where did they stay?
The Hotel du Vin provided palatial rooms, bistro-style French cuisine, and breathtaking views of St Andrews Bay.
Playing the world’s No.1 links, twice
4 guests | 8 rounds | 6 nights
To most golfers, the fabled course beneath the immense Mourne Mountains is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
However, for Carr Golf Travel guests, like our Monroe & Altman group, even Royal County Down can be played twice.
In fact, they visited the big, beautiful brute, where Dundrum Bay meets the heaving Irish Sea, on consecutive days in Northern Ireland.
Just wait until you see the rest of their incredible Irish odyssey guided by our own Ciaran ‘Fitzy’ Fitzsimons.
It started with clifftop links and creamy pints at the amazing Ardglass.
After RCD, the New Yorkers enjoyed a sensational 36-hole day between the mighty Mussenden Course at Castlerock and Royal Portrush’s mystical Dunluce links.
Next, they took on the rugged, rolling, remarkable Strand Course at Portstewart.
We arranged a helicopter transfer to Dublin for a luxurious two-night stay at the Merrion Hotel… and mouthwatering tee times at Portmarnock and The Island.
Pure magic.

Planning a trip for your golf club or association?
This coast-to-coast vacation across Scotland with the Ocean Reef Club will tick every box on your list.
It begins in picture-postcard Ayrshire, the birthplace of Robert Burns, Johnnie Walker and The Open.
And what better place to stay than the illustrious Turnberry? This 5-star resort offers you seaside splendour, award-winning hospitality and bucket-list golf.
Speaking of which, here is Ocean Reef’s all-star lineup of west coast courses:
- Dundonald Links
- Western Gailes
- The Ailsa
- Prestwick Golf Club
Our intrepid golfers then journeyed eastwards to uncover more links delights along the North Sea.
First, in Angus, they completed their Open Championship trilogy at iconic Carnoustie.
Later, among the towering dunes of Aberdeenshire, Cruden Bay and Trump International delivered thrills, spills, and jaw-dropping vistas.
Meanwhile, the Marcliffe Hotel provided countryside charm, first-class cuisine and a gateway to Scotland’s surprising Granite City by the sea.
A special golfing getaway for couples

Northwest Ireland abounds with romantic places.
It’s a hotbed of secluded beaches, cosy pubs, riverside retreats, fantasy landscapes, and palatial resorts for you and your significant other to discover.
Plus, a treasure trove of breathtaking links courses awaits along this unspoiled stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Unsurprisingly, our two-couple Comer group was smitten with the jagged, windswept coasts of Donegal, Sligo and Mayo.
From our chauffeur-driven deluxe minibus, the quartet shared some of Ireland’s most staggering raw beauty on their way to remarkable Rosapenna.
Rounds at St Patrick’s Links and Old Tom Morris Links bookended their visit to the gorgeous Glashedy course at Ballyliffin.
After, they checked into the sumptuous Ice House ahead of another two world-class tee times, The Dunes at dashing Enniscrone and the intoxicating County Sligo Golf Club.
Finally, the couples capped off their blissful break with a weekend of luxury and leisure in bohemian Galway.
Thrilling tales from a record-breaking Major
171 guests | 5 courses | 4 hotels
From Rory’s long-awaited Grand Slam to that rollercoaster Ryder Cup, elite golf did not lack for memorable events in 2025.
Still, few will stand the test of time quite like The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
Just ask the 171 guests we brought to the epic Causeway Coast for the momentous occasion.
The record-breaking crowd. The glorious setting. The rich history. The unrivalled winner.
For golf lovers, this was as good as it gets.
For the Carr Golf Events team, this was a week when only Scottie Scheffler could match their excellent start-to-finish performance!
Multitasking doesn’t cut it!
Seamless transportation whisked our groups to and from their luxury accommodations and the centre of the action on the Dunluce links.
Not to mention their other exciting activities, including Portmarnock Golf Club, Royal County Down and Giant’s Causeway.
And who better to meet and greet you than Marty and Roddy Carr?
More family, fairways, friendship, and fun
40 teams | 3 rounds | 4 nights
Different destination. Same cherished tradition.
More precious memories. Still undefeated.
After 16 wonderful years in the Southwest, our Father & Daughter World Invitational Golf Tournament headed for new pastures.
Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort delivered a dream debut.
For the 40 international teams that joined us in rugged, remote, ravishing Donegal, their journey was rewarded with five magical days of links, luxury and laughs.
Rosapenna nestles between two golden beaches, within 350 acres of lush, rolling countryside, and offers stunning views across the Atlantic to the mountainous Glenveagh National Park.
A sight for sore eyes.
Then you’ve got three exceptional courses at Ireland’s original golf resort.
Our razor-tight competition unfolded at Old Tom Morris Links, Sandy Hills Links, and St Patrick’s Links before Scott and Olivia Seymour finally prevailed.
But the real magic happened between rounds.
There were ocean swims, whiskey tastings, gourmet dinners, touching tributes, and craic-filled evenings.
Unforgettable.

How much golf is too much golf?
Certainly, our Warner group did their best to find out on a nationwide journey that encompassed Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Glasgow.
Even by their own award-winning standards, our Travel Experts outdid themselves with this jam-packed itinerary, on and off the course.
Let’s start in the middle.
The mysterious Highlands, a vast, stirring outback that weaves through streets, peaks and beaches, brought the spellbinding Royal Dornoch and mesmerising Castle Stuart.
Figo & Thistle Bistro and Ness Walk served exceptional cuisine and accommodations.
Next stop?
Following a picturesque cross-country road trip, via private transfer, our guests arrived in Ayrshire for a four-night stay in Turnberry.
Enter The Open Championship trident: The Ailsa (x2), Prestwick and Royal Troon.
And high-end Scottish gastronomy.
Where did they begin?
In East Lothian, at the equally delightful Marine hotel and North Berwick, before venturing north to the quirky, dune-tastic Cruden Bay.
More world-class golf, camaraderie and craic

From the very beginning, the Father & Son World Invitational Golf Tournament has encapsulated our ethos.
It’s about loyalty, tradition, shared memories, and an abiding love for the game.
We call it the Fraternity of Golf.
In August, this ever-growing collective gathered for the 36th time in a spectacular, secluded place on the otherworldly Iveragh Peninsula.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and overlooked by the mammoth MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, Waterville Golf Links is manna from heaven.
And what a week it was for the 92 teams from 10 countries that joined us in Waterville.
All the greatest hits returned.
We had mass in the lush Kerry heartland, the Gerry Carr Long Drive Competition, sea swims, gala dinners, and a farewell ceremony with live entertainment.
The tournament wasn’t bad either.
After three tight rounds, Paul and Fred Leonard, from Adare Manor Golf Club, sealed the title by a single stroke.
Phew!

What turns a good golf trip into a once-in-a-lifetime experience?
Usually, the small details make a big difference. Take our Nolan group.
First, as a gift, we asked David Lawrence to capture their visit to the simply spectacular Kingsbarns Golf Links.
Then came the surprise.
That evening, when they sat down to dinner in the Old Course Hotel, those pictures were displayed on a big screen for the perfect post-round recap. Priceless.
And that was just one day in Fife!
Their next stop was The Home of Golf.
The hallowed Old Course, with its Swilcan Bridge, Hell Bunker, Road Hole, and Valley of Sin, is a living monument to this great game.
Between St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Dumbarnie, our time-travelling golfers packed 468 years of ingenious course design into three rounds.
Already, they had taken on the enduring East Lothian links at North Berwick, Gullane and Muirfield.
Only in Scotland.
