Dooks Golf Links has been part of Ireland’s golfing story since 1889, quietly occupying its place along the shoreline of Dingle Bay. The course sits on natural linksland where fairways rise and fall with the terrain, shaped as much by wind and weather as by design. Eddie Hackett extended the course to 18 holes, bringing structure while keeping the original character intact, and Martin Hawtree later refined details to improve strategy without overstatement.Â
At par 71 and 6,800 yards, Dooks does not rely on length for its challenge. Instead, it asks for control, awareness and an understanding of how the coastal elements influence each shot. There is a calm rhythm to the round, with the landscape always present but never overwhelming. It is a course that feels settled in its surroundings, offering a more traditional and unhurried expression of links golf.
