Set on the shores of Largo Bay, Dumbarnie Links is a modern Clive Clark design that blends expansive fairways with strategic options. Since opening in 2020, it has quickly established championship credentials, hosting the Women’s Scottish Open.
Opened in 2020, Dumbarnie Links is a modern interpretation of Scottish links golf designed by Clive Clark. Set beside Largo Bay in Fife, the course occupies a broad, gently undulating site that allows for generous fairways and multiple angles of approach. Rather than relying on narrow targets, the design encourages decision-making, with width used strategically to reward positioning and shot shaping. Large greens and carefully placed bunkering add definition, while coastal exposure ensures conditions vary day to day. Despite its recent arrival, Dumbarnie quickly demonstrated its championship capability by hosting the Women’s Scottish Open, underlining both its scale and playability. The routing makes full use of its coastal setting without repetition, offering a varied round that feels distinctly modern yet rooted in traditional links principles.
